A Magia dos Dragões

Apesar do calendário chinês dizer que estamos no ano da Cabra, é o Dragão que tem influenciado algumas das sonoridades mais interessantes que me tem chegado ás mãos.

Da Ninja Tune chegam os The Dragons com um disco surpreendente “BFI” diria que é a obra-prima do psicadelismo em pleno século XXI. O outro é igualmente surpreendente, é o novo projecto da habitual cantora dos Koop, Yukimi Nagano o grupo chama-se Little Dragon, o álbum homónimo está repleto de canções lindíssimas, para descobrir em próximas edições do A&G, para já deliciem-se com o vídeo clip de “Twice”, deste Pequeno Dragão que promete crescer e muito.

O estudio

Finalmente está pronto, e eu tive a honra de o inaugurar faltavam 5 minutos para as seis da tarde da passada quarta-feira dia 6. Ficam por aí algumas fotos para os mais curiosos.

Sonho Latino

Já vi muitos pôr-do-sol mas não há como o da praia de Santo António em Ibiza, talvez por sido visto na maior parte das vezes da esplanada do “Mítico” Café Del Mar, mesmo quando era no areal o som que evoluía do sistema de som era arrebatador, hipnótico, transcendente e tornava aquele momento do dia único e com vontade repetir dia após dia, de voltar no ano seguinte, com mais tempo, o ideal era todo o verão, nunca foi, mas as semana passadas durante vários anos em Ibiza foram vividas tão intensamente que por muito que Eu viva nunca os irei esquecer. É da nostalgia e do espírito desses finais de tarde que me deixei influenciar para a Água & Sal deste fim-de-semana, porque há musicas que não têm tempo nem data e porque afinal há um Sueño Latino em todos nós.

Um Ano...

Este fim-de-semana o Agua & Sal comemora o primeiro aniversário.
Um ano, 52 semanas já lá vão e parece que foi ontem, quando se faz alguma de que se gosta muito o tempo passa a voar, esta é uma constatação de quem já anda nisto há muito, muito tempo, mas quero realçar o prazer que o Agua & Sal me tem dado a fazer todas as semanas.
É certo que no início parecia algo estranho, uma Rádio Nacional privada dedicar 2 horas da sua valiosa programação a sub-culturas aos sons mais marginais ao “underground” da música electrónica, Nu-Jazz, Chillout, jazz-House, Nu-Disco e Deep-House, mas a verdade é que um ano já lá vai e novos desafios se avizinham. Espero poder continuar a surpreender, a proporcionar esta aproximação a outras culturas sonoras, enfim a facultar esta experiência diferente de provocar novas emoções a quem ouve habitualmente a Rádio Comercial.

Muito obrigado a todos os Ouvintes do Agua & Sal, a todos os visitantes do Blog e um agradecimento muito especial ao Pedro Ribeiro director da Rádio Comercial pelo incentivo, ao João Pedro Sousa programador incansável, talvez o ouvinte mais atento, ao Nuno Gonçalo o sound designer, e claro á minha Família, que tem ficado umas valentes horas privada da minha atenção… A todos, um sentido Muito Obrigado!

já tem data marcada a edição do novo disco dos Groove Armada, a 07 de Maio será então lançado “Soundboy Rock”, o novo álbum do grupo de Andy Cato e Tom Findlay, que desta vez contaram com as colaborações de Richard Archer dos Hard-Fi e Alan Donohoe dos Rakes.

Há já uns tempos que andava a interrogar-me sobre o futuro de um dos meus projectos preferidos, até que um destes dias acabei por descobrir na Internet que tinham novo disco, "Play With the Chages" e mais, o site tinha alguns avanços sonoros deste trabalho que marca o regresso de Dego (Dennis McFarlane) e Marc Mac (Mark Clair) ou seja os 4 Hero, encomendei o disco de imediato, “caixa mágica” que finalmente me chegou ás mãos.
Prometo passar pelo menos uma musica no Água & Sal.

Belle & Fou

Há em Berlim um novo conceito de espectáculo que integra artes tão variadas como a dança, o teatro, (agora o espanto), a gastronomia fina e claro a musica, essa a cargo dos Jazzanova, que resolveram edita-la em CD, "Belle & Fou" tem algumas peças já conhecidas e provenientes dos artistas habituais que assinam para a Sonar Kollektiv, Clara Hill, Capitol A, Georg Levin ou ainda os Micatone entre outros, mas grande parte das musicas foram criadas especificamente para o evento, parte dessa obra pode ser ouvida no Agua & Sal deste fim de semana.

É sempre bom começar um novo ano, geralmente com muitas promessas de coisas boas, mas é realmente óptimo quando elas começam a acontecer logo nos primeiros dias é certo que já recebi alguns discos com selo de 2007, mas o mais aguardado, recebi-o ontem e com alguma surpresa, já que a data prevista para a edição é em Março, como tal sinto-me um privilegiado em ser um dos primeiros a tocar “Pocket Symphony” o novo disco dos Franceses Nicolas Godin e Jean-Benoit Dunckel ou seja os Air, e prometo pelo menos 3 musicas no Agua & Sal deste sábado.
Mas há mais coisas boas a acontecerem, fica o aviso á navegação, o Agua & Sal que vai para o ar ao Sábado na Rádio Comercial das 22 horas á meia-noite vai ter direito a repetição no Domingo das 23 horas á uma da manhã.
